What specific metrics do early-stage VCs want to see in my industry (legal tech)?
I’ve developed a B2B SaaS platform tailored specifically for law firms, helping them automate case management and document workflows. We’ve grown to about 50 small-to-mid-sized law firms as paying customers, and feedback has been great. Until now, I’ve bootstrapped the company, but to grow faster and expand our feature set, I’m looking to raise a seed round. I’m familiar with basic metrics like Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) and churn rate, but I’m unsure about what specific metrics early-stage VCs in the legal tech space expect to see. I want to understand what KPIs matter most for SaaS companies serving this industry and how to frame our traction in a way that resonates with investors.
